Favorite Books from 2021

Here are a few of the books that I’ve spent the most time pondering and reflecting on this past year. Also, my fiction-nonfiction mix trended a bit more toward nonfiction-dominant (relative to last year), though I still managed to get through a number of novels that I really enjoyed.

Pachinko, by Min Jin Lee

Free Food for Millionaires, by Min Jin Lee

The Fifth Season, by N.K. Jemisim

The Song of Achilles, by Madeline Miller

Minor Feelings, by Cathy Park Hong

The Two-Party Doom Loop, by Lee Drutman

Kill Switch, by Adam Jentleson

Where Law Ends, by Andrew Weissmann

Age of Surveillance Capitalism, by Shoshana Zuboff

Catch and Kill, by Ronan Farrow
